A Shipping Rule defines the cost of delivering a product to a buyer. These rules determine what to charge based on the buyer’s location, the difficulty in shipping the product or even how many products are being shipped. They can be as simple as a flat-rate applied to your entire Store, or individually catered to each product.
Yodify allows you to create multiple Shipping Rules to cover a variety of situations. You’re able to assign these rules to any location, brand, or individual product. By using any combination of these features you’re able to charge appropriately for every shipment you make.
Some of the features you’re able to set up with shipping rules:
- Default Shipping – Standard shipping rules for basic products and locations. This includes the basic shipping rules for your Store, for either local or non-local, economy or priority. You will have to set up a Default Shipping rule before your Store is e-commerce capable.
- Custom Shipping Rules – These are more specific rules that can be applied to heavy items, large items, or otherwise complicated products that need a customized price to cover the effort of shipping.
- Specifying Local Region – You can determine what’s in your local area by country or provinces, giving you control over when to charge local or non-local prices.
- Shipping Restrictions – You can assign shipping restrictions to brands and products to designate what regions your products are able to ship to.
