Difference Between Catalog & eCommerce StoreWhether you’re on Yodify to get a full e-commerce store up and running, or you just want a place online to showcase your product Catalog, Yodify has the tools to make it easy.A Catalog is a listing that uses Yodify to keep a record of their product offerings and information online as an alternative to expensive website creation and hosting. Though they do not use the e-commerce functionality, they can have their information publicly available for their clients to view and contact them directly to complete sales. Catalogs are easily upgraded to e-commerce stores at any time.An e-commerce Store is very similar to Catalog listing in how the information is displayed and controlled, but it utilizes Yodifys inventory and e-commerce functionality, allowing Customers to purchase product directly from a given Seller.A Catalog and an e-commerce store have access to all the same features and benefits of Yodify – though they may employ them in different ways.
Note:Products without inventory will not, by default, display when searched for on Yodify. These will only display when directly linked to or viewed within your Store. A Catalog is used as a company sales tool, to direct sales, whereas e-commerce products are displayed universally.
